Situation: I need a printer setup. if I have more than one piano could I print off either piano? Does it matter where I place the printer? Solution: Any printer that works with Windows XP will work with the ePiano and MusiConsole Systems. Modern printers generally connect via a USB port. There are two USB ports on the back of the CPU—it doesn’t matter which you plug into. It also doesn’t matter where you place the printer, as long as your cable can reach. It is not recommended to place a printer on the piano cabinet itself due to space/safety considerations. Note: It’s a good idea to make any printer you install available for sharing or network usage if you plan to have multiple computers network in the same house/school or studio. Situation: Making an installed printer available to print from multiple ePianos/computers.
Solution: Use the handy “Add Printer Wizard” to walk you through this. Here’s how to find it: - From the Windows <Start> menu—then ,<Control Panel>
- From the control panel choose <Printers and Faxes> from the list of choices
- Choose <Add Printer> from the task shortcuts.
- Follow the steps in this “wizard” to walk you through the choices of setting up a network printer. Note: the printer must be designated as a “shared printer” in order for this wizard to work properly.
- If you print from the same printer all the time—make this printer your default printer.
