Cakewalk is
one of the most powerful programs on the market today
for recording and composition. ePiano systems from
2002-2006
typically contain one of the Home Studio versions.
From 2007, the core bundle features "music creator".
Cakewalk has a great tutorial section that will answer many
of the budding composers questions. From Cakewalk’s top
menu bar click the <Help>, <Help Topics> and locate the
<Getting Started>:

or visit
the Cakewalk Home Studio support site at:
http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/HomeStudio
Situation: I want to print music of what I play:
1. Open Home Studio on the CREATE menu tab
2. From the Cakewalk Quick Start Menu, choose
<Create a New Project> using and select the <EPIANO>
from the list of included templates. You should see
a grand staff (bass and treble clef)
3. Click Record button (red circle) in upper right
hand corner.
4. After 4 beats, start playing -
5. Click STOP (black square when finished). Replay
if desired to check your recording.
6. Under the File menu choose <Print> to send your
music to the printer (if attached)
Note: If you want to adjust the tempo to get a
more accurate printout, click on the Metronome icon
(see image below)

Home Studio’s
Metronome button—Allows you to TAP your own tempo
in too!
