Below are
some tips and documents on handling the initial setup
and operation of the ePiano™.
MOST POPULAR SET-UP TIPS:
CABINET TIP:
Put the piano top on before installing the CPU
enclosure onto the cabinet base. This let’s you plug
in the pedal cord—AND attach the bolts that secure the
top to the base.
MIDI CABLE/ADAPTER TIP:
Note on the MIDI cables: You only need to connect
the black 5 pin end of the MIDI adapter cable labeled
“IN” to the “OUT TO COMPUTER” MIDI port on the back
panel of the piano. The black 5 pin MIDI cable end
labeled “OUT” should be left unplugged. See the
MIDISetupsheet.pdf
for a pictorial reference. You’re not alone—this is
a common set up problem.
The black mini stereo plug connects
to the the green jack on
the lower soundcard

Systems shipped after June 2005 use
a USB Adapter that changes the setup and eliminates
the Gameport adapter.
COMPUTER AUDIO TIP: There are two sound
output areas (and usually 2 gameport and green audio
output jacks) on the ePiano CPU—use the lower
horizontally oriented group one for your ePiano audio
connections.
Most
systems shipped after June 2005, have the
non-functional group covered
MOVING: When moving the ePiano to a new
location — rebox the CPU and Monitor into their
original packages and to detach the CPU enclosure from
the piano cabinet.
QUICK START TIP - USE THE MUSICONSOLE: Go to
the SUPPORT button, and click on the HELP SYSTEM
button for more information on your ePiano’s
operation, more FAQ’s , software hints, a pdf copy of
the hardware set up guide and more.
